About Us

Why Cheerleading

Well, you might think cheerleading is all about pom-poms and high kicks, but you’d be wrong.

Cheerleading is a fun, physically demanding, team-based sport, where life-long friendships and memories are forged. It combines gymnastics tumbling, stunting and dancing. And because it is a performance sport, it builds self-esteem and confidence while keeping you fit and having fun. Welcome to the exciting sport of cheerleading!

Why West Coast Fury Cheerleading

West Coast Fury is the hottest, fastest growing cheerleading club to hit Perth’s northern suburbs.

Launching in 2015, we exploded onto the competition scene with huge success; each team winning first place throughout the year, plus bids to compete at National events! All this in our first year - quite an achievement. But Fury is more than just competition results, banners and trophies; we pride ourselves on a strong culture, with a family friendly environment. If you’re new to cheer you are about to discover what it means to be part of our fabulous Fury family.

The word ‘Fury’ means passion and energy. So here at West Coast Fury, we believe in using our passion and energy to develop a cheerleading community that has a positive and lasting influence on its members.

Our two Director’s, husband and wife team Peta & Alan, both have business backgrounds having worked in the advertising and business development industries for many years, before deciding to follow their passion for cheerleading by opening West Coast Fury. Coupled with their extensive cheerleading experience, you can be sure you’ll be well looked after.

Our Team

At West Coast Fury we offer experienced and qualified coaching staff, guaranteeing a safe learning environment, where athletes are encouraged to achieve their best and have fun. All of our qualified cheer coaches are internationally credentialed, have their Working With Children checks and First Aid certificates.

Plus our coaching team has extensive competition experience having represented Australia at multiple international championships including the prestigious Cheerleading World Championships, ATC (Seattle) and Duel in the Desert (California).

Together, we are the most highly qualified and experienced coaching team in Western Australia.
